Came in a plastic bag. So they were scrunched up. The shoes are nice and light weight. I wouldn't use them for running or working out. Soles aren't too thick and there's not much thread on them. I'm not sure how they'll do in wet conditions.I only bought these shoes for casual wear and not for running or working out. After trying them on. It's confirmed. Do not buy for running/working out. I wouldn't even use them for walking shoes. I just simply needed some casual whites shoes that would go with just about anything for casual nights out.So im a 9.5, the ones I bought were 10s cause now tens are a little more comfy. They fit like 9.5s. So I would recommend get 1/2 a size up.

Love VanJams! Have a few pair. They are all 42 size. So I ordered these in 42 as well and had to return them and order 43 instead. For some reason (and maybe it was just the one pair that I had) the 42 seems to be too small in this style. The 43 fit me perfectly.

Ordered these on a whim because I was looking for easy slip-ons, and these didn't disappoint! Very comfortable, super light, and I enjoy the low scoop around the ankle bone with the higher heel protection. I wear these with no-show socks because of the low ankle, and haven't had any issues with the back of the shoe pulling those down or rubbing too intensely on my ankle/tendon.

I'm not a runner so I can't attest to that use, but I go on long walks (8+ miles) a few times a week and these have held up great without any discomfort. I'm used to buying shoe inserts to pad my heal (I'm a bit of a stomper) but haven't had any heel discomfort in these shoes with their original insoles.

These are also definitely not waterproof, and the netted material on top has trapped a bit of mud from walking on a rainy day. They cleaned up great, but I wouldn't recommend regularly taking these in any wet environments.

I knocked off one star just because one of the shoelaces was pretty severely frayed when it arrived. I ended up getting elastic shoelaces to replace them (and make these slip-ons) and now they're my go-to shoe for most purposes. I've had them about a month, and I really can't see any wear and tear on them so far. Very pleased!

These shoes are lightweight and reasonably well-cushioned, but they have no outer sole and will wear out extremely quickly. The sole also punctures very easily, and that should concern everyone. The outer sole is nothing more than an embossed pattern on what most people consider the mid-sole, which admittedly offers decent cushioning. Nothing unusual about the sizing. Having purchased a pair of these shoes, I immediately recognized their resemblance to a similar pair of shoes that I purchased from another huge retailer for about $10. Comfortable to wear for awhile, but the soles wear out quickly, and are very susceptible to abrasion. If you have an abnormality in your gait, these shoes will provide quick evidence of it. Mine are being returned to make some other shopper an unhappy camper.
